Why JMA exists
JMA was founded in August 2015 by a group of Jamnagar distributors who saw the business changing fast. That year SEBI began printing distributor commissions in investors' consolidated account statements. Direct plans were being promoted heavily in the media, and day-to-day problems with CAMS, Karvy and AMCs needed someone to raise them on behalf of everyone.
An association could do what no single distributor could. JMA started out as the Jamnagar IFA Association. It was set up at around the same time as the Saurashtra Kutch IFA Association (SKIFAA) in Rajkot, and it is registered as SKIFAA's Jamnagar chapter.
More than ten years on, JMA has run sessions before, during and after the lockdown, from GST and BSE StAR MF training to webinars and AMC CEO seminars. It also hosts an annual family get-together that now brings together about 150 people.
Exploring opportunities, nurturing wealth.
